Webinar June 15, 2017: Using Pop-Ups to Promote Safe Routes to School

Where the Duct Tape Meets the Road: Using Pop-Ups to Promote Safe Routes to School

Pop-up Safe Routes to School projects are temporary installations that show the potential traffic safety improvements projects like crosswalks, curb extensions, and roundabouts have to make it easier, safer, and more appealing for kids to walk and bike to school.

This webinar hosted by the Safe Routes to School National Partnership  will cover how pop-up projects can be used to advance Safe Routes to School, provide examples from communities that have used pop-up installations to make the case for Safe Routes to School, and discuss resources available to help you create a pop-up Safe Routes to School project in your own community.

SPEAKERS:

  • Grace Kyung, Special Projects Director at Trailnet
  • Jeff Knowles, Associate Planner, Alta Planning + Design
  • Marisa Jones, Healthy Communities Manager at Safe Routes to School National Partnership
