Landscape Architecture has reshaped the way I think about the use of space, community, and design and how they impact the people around it. I love that design can create safer and more thoughtfully activated areas while also creating innovative, beautiful, and people focused spaces. In some way it's simple: if you make a place beautiful and safe, people will want to be there.
Biography
Erika is a Designer in Alta’s Charlotte office. She has a Bachelor’s in Biology from Grand Valley State University in Michigan and a Masters of Landscape Architecture from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She believes that it is the duty of landscape and design professionals to come up with innovative ways to design sustainably to move our society into a better way of thinking.
