I chose civil engineering due to a desire to see my work have tangible impacts on people's lives. I am most interested in projects that are built with a sustainable focus or serve a necessary social function. I want to see decades of car centric urban planning addressed in a way that is mindful of potential systemic repercussions.
Biography
Ethan received his BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth and passed his FE exam shortly after graduation. After college, Ethan gained experience in soils and concrete inspection. Ethan then moved overseas to work in Egypt in site development/improvement and gained proficiency in Civil 3D. Upon returning to the states, Ethan worked in the public sector in transportation management and planning. During this time, Ethan served as lead on several projects, partnered with various agencies and completed multiple GIS based analysis one of which covered over 100,000 acres and 500 miles of federal roads.
