Since completing her master’s degree in writing and book publishing from Portland State University in 2010, Katie has held editing, writing, and production roles in book publishing, nonprofits, and corporate settings. Along the way, she stumbled into the world of technical editing and found a passion and skill for helping make technical topics accessible for the average reader. Katie believes a skilled technical editor can be a bridge between writer and reader to make sure each message reaches its audience and communicates the intended message, and she is excited to be part of a team communicating messages that empower people to live active, healthy lives.
