Katrina Ortiz

Katrina is a designer in Alta’s Oakland office. Prior to joining Alta, her work in Landscape Architecture, community engagement, and graphic design allowed her to develop a variety of skills. Katrina holds a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from University of California Berkeley, and an undergraduate degree in Studio Art. In addition to a wide range of landscape architecture projects, she has worked as an advocate for greener schoolyards. Additionally, she has volunteered with a number of local community groups and initiatives, including an emergency outdoor classroom response to Covid-19.

“As a designer at Alta, I aim to use my skills in service of community goals. I hope to support social and environmental justice initiatives while building engaging, community-oriented spaces.”
