Alta creates a visionary master plan for a future city park, emphasizing sustainability, inclusive design, and safe circulation

Alta conducted an in-depth site analysis of the 32-acre future park, collaborating closely with the City and committee to identify programmatic and design opportunities. Based on stakeholder and City staff feedback, Alta developed detailed design alternatives incorporating elements from previous public engagements, along with conceptual renderings of proposed park features like a playground, splash pad, trailhead for the future Singing River Trail, and a large amphitheater. To ensure a logical and affordable implementation, Alta presented a proposed Phasing Plan, along with a Circulation Plan that addressed pedestrian, bicyclist, passenger vehicle, and service vehicle interactions to prioritize safety. Additionally, to create a comprehensive master plan, Alta enlisted the expertise of two local consultants – an architect and an engineering firm – to handle residential design elements and provide cost estimates for project phasing. As the project progresses into construction, Alta is providing design services for construction documents of phase one of the park. Now dubbed Sunrise Park.
