North Sonoma Mountain Regional Park and Open Space Preserve is 820 acres of majestic redwood and oak forests with sweeping views of Santa Rosa and Sonoma Valley below. The four-mile Bay Area Ridge Trail is a recent addition that connects to Jack London State Historic Park.
Alta led the team that designed vehicular access and staging area improvements at the Jacob’s Ranch site, including vehicular and trail bridges over Matanzas Creek, parking and trailhead improvements, a picnic area in a creekside redwood grove, trail and parking accessibility improvements, and environmental analysis and permitting for all of the above. We also designed the 5-mile trail connection to Jack London State Historic Park. Alta completed bid documents and provided bid period and construction observation services.
