Erik Landfried

Erik has nearly two decades of experience advancing multimodal transportation, particularly in the Triangle region of North Carolina. Prior to joining Alta Planning + Design, Erik led the service planning team at GoTriangle, a regional transit agency, and GoDurham, a local transit agency. He also managed a Transit Equity Campaign on behalf of Bike Durham, a non-profit organization. Erik received his Master’s Degree in City + Regional Planning at UNC-Chapel Hill in 2007. He grew up in the Boston area, but has lived in North Carolina since 2002.

“My goal is to make our streets safe, accessible, equitable and inviting for everyone, particularly people walking, biking, rolling, and using transit. I love working with the public to diagnose what needs to be fixed about our transportation system and help deliver solutions that lead to the kind of outcomes people want and deserve.”
