Throughout her career, Amy has led and supported numerous transportation demand management (TDM) planning efforts at the state, regional, and local levels. She has also worked extensively on safe routes to school (SRTS) planning and evaluation, supporting multiple state SRTS programs. Amy is highly detail-oriented and excels in project management, ensuring that each project is executed efficiently and effectively. She is proficient in spatial and data analysis and has a knack for communicating complex planning concepts in a clear and concise way. “Growing up, my best friend and neighbor were from the Netherlands, a country known for its thriving biking and walking culture. Even though we lived in suburban Ohio in the 1980s, where few kids walked to school, we made it a point to walk together every day, rain or shine. This instilled in me a deep appreciation for active transportation, which has stuck with me to this day as a year-round bike commuter. It's a value that I hope to pass on to my son as we ride together to his school and one that I feel privileged to share with others through my work at Alta Planning + Design.”
