Our people make the difference.

Kelly Lei

Kelly’s relationship with Alta starts with her capstone project about Safe Routes to School in her master’s study in Urban and Regional Planning from University California Irvine—She was inspired to promote active transportation ever since. Kelly received her second master’s degree in Geographic Information Science from California State University Northridge, where she developed technical skills in GIS and cartography so she could incorporate these tools into transit-related projects. At Alta, she intends to help to create more walkable/bike-able spaces and more connected transportation systems for diverse transit methods.

“Who needs to hit the gym if you can walk or bike to work everyday? Growing up in Asian countries, I believe there are more benefits of traveling with active transportations than driving: they are cheaper, healthier, and most importantly, make the earth mama happy. I'm so excited to join Alta to help create more opportunities for travel on foot, by bike, and on transit!”
