Alta has been engaged to create a Regional Safety Action Plan based on the principles of the Safe System Approach, aligning with the specific criteria outlined in the SS4A program. This endeavor enables the MPO and its collaborative agency partners to seek financial support through the SS4A Implementation Grant. The primary objective of this plan is to recognize and address patterns in transportation safety while working towards establishing a more secure transportation network that accommodates users of all transportation modes. Beyond the development of the safety action plan itself, Alta will also provide guidance to the MPO and involved municipalities in the process of formulating and submitting an application for the FY 2023 SS4A Implementation Grant.
