Alta spearheaded the River-Side Gateway Project Suite, encompassing master planning for six park sites and a new greenway along Riverside’s Santa Ana River, involving various tasks such as conceptual design, environmental review, sensitive habitat protection, program element evaluation, and robust public engagement to ascertain community preferences and needs. The outreach efforts led by Alta comprised multiple surveys, an interactive web map, and public meetings, while also offering design review, guidance, and strategic collaboration with the city to ensure the success of the master plans, ultimately leading to the development of several new park sites connected by a Class I bicycle path in the greenbelt of public space along the Santa Ana River.
