The 2018 Intersections: Creating Culturally Complete Streets conference hosted by the National Complete Streets Coalition, Smart Growth America’s Arts & Culture team, and the Urban Land Institute is April 3-4. 2018 in Nashville, TN. Intersections 2018 convenes national leaders for workshops, interactive panels, and breakout discussions about cutting-edge Complete Streets and creative placemaking best practices, research, and ideas.
Alta Planning + Design will participate in a panel session, “Engaging People, Art, and Public Space via Tactical Urbanism.” Design Associate Daniel Ashworth, PLA, AICP, will speak on the true potential of tactical urbanism to create better spaces and streets, as experienced through Alta’s work on the Memphis Medical Center Streetscapes project. Panel partners include The Heights Community Development Corporation, Looney Ricks Kiss, and Collabortory.
