Alta is currently working as a sub-consultant to provide visioning and concept design for the 5th Avenue North corridor in Billings. This corridor holds historical significance as a rail corridor that traverses the downtown core and is expected to undergo future redevelopment. The project’s objective is to establish a vibrant bicycle and pedestrian promenade, enriched with gathering spaces, public art, and trail-oriented development, in order to activate the downtown area and create a captivating linear park known as a destination greenway. Alta is diligently crafting block-by-block concepts that take into account partnerships and collaboration with private property owners, vehicular circulation and parking, as well as opportunities for lively public spaces. These concepts will then be further refined and transformed into comprehensive designs.
