The ATP will build on extensive community engagement, including a community survey, an online interactive mapping tool, community workshops, and pop-up events to gather input. The analysis effort includes innovative stress-adjusted analysis of potential active trips, which identifies short vehicle trips that could convert to active modes if infrastructure were available, but takes into account the traffic stress of potential active routes. The plan also identifies critical network gaps and quantifies the benefits of closing those gaps with safe and comfortable projects for users of all ages and abilities. The plan will align goals, objectives and performance metrics with state and local grant funding criteria and requirements, ensuring the City’s top priority projects will also be maximally competitive for future implementation funding.
