The Lane County Bicycle Master Plan will identify infrastructure needs, and recommend actions across a diversity of communities stretching from the Pacific Ocean to the Cascades.

Alta is leading work on the Bicycle Master Plan to establish a comprehensive guide for supporting bicycling throughout rural Lane County. Alta’s tasks include helping establish the plan’s vision, goals, and objectives; determining existing conditions; assessing future needs; recommending actions and improvement for meeting those needs; and providing an implementation strategy.

In response to COVID-19, a series of creative public engagement strategies and interactive online tools were applied to solicit meaningful input from wide-reaching corners of the county. This strategy began with the launch of the project website, incorporating a tailored project brand produced by Alta and providing a central information and engagement hub for the entire project, followed by a multi-phase public virtual open house composed of survey and webmap activities to gather information and existing conditions input from the community.
