Join us at APBP 2026!

We’re looking forward to the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals (APBP) Conference in Pittsburgh, PA, August 10–12!

If you’re attending, be sure to catch two presentations from Alta’s Philip Longenecker:

“Deep Dive on Delineators: How Cities are Separating Bikes and the Impacts of Delineators on Behavior” draws on research, interviews with cities across the U.S., and before-and-after video analytics from separated bike lanes in Seattle, Boston, and Arlington, VA, to explore how different delineator treatments influence driver behavior, bicyclist comfort, safety, and long-term implementation.

“How to Create or Advance Your Active Transportation Data Program” highlights practical strategies for building stronger pedestrian and bicycle count programs. Drawing on national research, expert collaboration, and case studies from leading agencies, the session shares best practices for collecting, managing, and using active transportation data to support planning, safety, and investment decisions.

These Alta team members will also be at the conference:
• Mauricio Hernandez, Senior Planning Associate and member of the APBP Board of Directors
• Spencer Finch, Principal of Engineering and Co-Chair of the APBP Policy Committee
• Sara Kovachich, Planning Associate

If you’ll be in Pittsburgh, we’d love to connect!
